GUESTMAP

Want to see how it looks like?

CLICK HERE to go on my Guestbook and click on the image of the Guestmap.

This feauture is very cool and especialy useful for your Guestbook, if you have one.

You can have a Guestmap, where people can click on the country on the world map, from where they come from and they can leave you a comment and a link to their webpage.

To check it out, CLICK HERE to go on my Guestbook and click on the image of the Guestmap.

To get a Guestmap, you have to do the following:

1. Click Here to register.

In the first box, you enter a Username.

In the second box, you enter a Password

In the third box, you enter your Email adress

In the fourth box, you enter the link of your Webpage/Msn Space.

2. You will now have to Login with the information you have given before so this time you enter in the first box, your Username and in the second box your password.

3. You will be transfered to the Guestmap Configuration. There you can play around however there is no need as the configurations already set are pretty reasonable.

4. If you have a look at the top where "Guestmap Configuration" is marked in dark blue, you will see next to it two more options. It looks like this:

Guestmap Configuration
Markers (1/500)

 5. Click on Usage Tips.

Look for your Guestmap URL and ignore the codes which are placed under the link of your map.

6. Place this link anywhere on your Space.

You can either put the link in a list or in a blog. If you put it in a blog, Click Here to learn how to hide a linking code behind a text or use the image designed by myself:

a) Open the blog entry

b) In the toolbar which is at the top of the blog where you can enter a text, look for the button called

<HTML>

c) Click on it so it will turn red, and now copy the code under the image, by selecting it, right-click and pressing on "Copy". Now go to your blog entry (make sure the <HTML> is still red), right-click and select "Paste".

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

<a href="ENTER THE URL OF YOUR GUESTMAP"><img src="http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/2415/guestmap2bq.png" border="0" width="189" alt="Visit My Guestmap" /></a>

d) In the code where it says "ENTER THE URL OF YOUR GUESTMAP" (it wont be in red!) enter the linking code of your own Guestmap.

e) Click again on the <HTML> button and it will turn black again and you will see the image.

Have Fun! =)

Files for Windows Media Player

HOME  l     PIMP MY MSN SPACE  l    !NEW!  MySpace Profile  l        Technorati Profile l

Click Here to get Windows Media Player.

More and more people complain that the Windows Media Player doesnt work on their MSN Space. Well it does, the problem is the host. I have recommended Filelodge as I found that its quite good, however since it is Bolt Filelodge, its got nothing else than Problems.

Short Term Solution:
Try to find another host.

Long Term (and better) Solution:

I will tell you a little trick, how you can get songs, games and lots more on your Windows Media Player without uploading anything!

You found a nice Webpage with music or flash animations?

Get the URL of the song and put it in your Media Player. How? Very easy, however please note that if you are on a website where the music or flash file is not internaly uploaded as otherwise you will probably not find any URL code. Usualy this stuff is externaly uploaded on MSN Spaces, on Myspace.com if its not in their "OnePlayer" or on other similar services.

INDEX OF THIS BLOG ENTRY

GAMES
MUSIC/VIDEO
RADIO/TV *Recommended!

Games: Click Here and scroll donw to the bottom. The Article you are heading for has the title "FlashStuff for MSN Spaces"

Music/Videos:

1) If you find for example on MySpace a Space of a celebrity linked to any musical activity, they tend to have music in the "OnePlayer" and external Players where you will find somewhere a link starting with "http//:" and ending with ".mp3" or ".wma" or any other. Find this link in the code, put it in your Player and you are done!
By the way, Click Here to visit Myspace.com.

2) If you are on a page and there is a possibility that a song or a vide etc. is uploaded externaly and works through a link, do the following:

a) Use Internet Explorer

b) At the top-left of the Internet Explorer, you see:
File; Edit; View; Favorites; Tools; Help

c) Press on View and now a list open. Find "Source" and Click on it

d) Now Notepad will open. In Notepad at the top-left you will find: File; Edit; Format; View; Help

e) Click on Edit and a list will appear. Select "Find"

f) A little window opens, where you can enter a text. You could now enter for example .mp3 or .wma or .wmv etc.

Or simply http:// to see if there is a link at all. Always bear in mind that the URL you are looking for must end with a term that Windows Media Player supports so you are lookinf for something like:

Files that Windows Media Player supports: WMA, WMV, WAV, AVI, MPG, MPEG, MP3, ASF, ASX, SWF

3) You might also be very lucky and just find a link on a page. For example if you go on MySpace (myspace.com) and look in the comments list, you will find a comment from Filo and Peri. They have given me a link to download a mix from them. I right-clicked on the Text which is a link, and selected "Copy Shortcut". I went to my MSN Space and entered now this link by pressing Paste in the URL field of the Windows Media Player. As you can hear at the moment the song works =)

These are just general ways how to avoid using host services or using services like videosodes4u which gives you Spyware and is in my opinion very bad.

Radio/TV:

This is the best solution in my opinion as it is legal and very easy. Click Here to learn how to get TV or Radio in your Player.

TV in Windows Media Player

HOME  l     PIMP MY MSN SPACE  l    !NEW!  MySpace Profile  l        Technorati Profile l

It is possible to launch TV and Radio in your Windows Media Player.

This is very simple and doesnt take a lot of time.

1. Get Windows Media Player to your MSN Space. Click Here to get it.

2. There is a wonderful page that provides you with all the links of the online available TV stations.

Chose a country, and a TV Station. When you have found one, right-click on the green icon where you see a number (ex.300K) and chose "Copy Shortcut"

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THERE IS NO ICON, IT ISN'T AVAILABLE AND WHEN ITS GRAY OR BLUE IT MIGHT NOT WORK!

3. Open any Text editing program for example Microsoft Word or Notepad or anything else where you can write. Right-Click in this document and select "Paste" which will make a code appear. This code looks like this:

javascript:listen('http://www.ministryofsound.com','http://wwitv.com/l_tv/8440.asx',0)

Now just copy this part of the code. Remember the code must end with ".asx"

4. Go to your Space, in the URL box of Windows Media Player, delete your old code or just the "http://" and press Paste by right-clicking and selecting Paste.

5. Now press Save and you are done!

Here some codes I got for you:

MINISTRY OF SOUND (Music Channel)- http://wwitv.com/l_tv/8440.asx

E-MUSIC TELEVISION (Music Channel) - http://wwitv.com/l_tv/7826.asx

Party TV (Party-Music Channel) - http://wwitv.com/l_tv/7772.asx

Skreem TV (RnB-Hip Hop) - http://wwitv.com/l_tv/b1476.asx

More to come!
